Community Sponsorship

“It makes me so happy to support the local community.”

I am delighted to announce major sponsorship as Champion Partner of Toowoomba’s annual Christmas appeal – Loads of Love – an annual Christmas Appeal, first established in 2009, with the core purpose to provide support to people experiencing financial hardship. Loads of Love does this by supplying generous bags of non-perishable food items to both individuals and families just before Christmas.  For me, it’s such a privilege and a pleasure to be the headline sponsor beside Grand Central Shopping Centre & Harvey Norman Toowoomba.  My Team & I look forward to working with Loads of Love and all our city’s generous Residents on this wonderful social cause. We love to help the Toowoomba community and this wonderful much-needed appeal will greatly assist those in need.

A portion of each sale I settle goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They create life-changing wishes for critically-ill children.

I support Civic Care – they run Toowoomba’s Winter Warmth appeal and walk the CBD streets multiple nights each week, handing out water and red frogs to happy revellers, some of whom need may need extra support, such as safely getting home.

To help promote our beautiful City during the 2022 Carnival Of Flowers, I was a ‘Tulip’ Corporate Sponsor of The Chronicle’s Garden Competition AwardsCarnival is the soul of Toowoomba – so if I can help just one more person discover the city, the public gardens, the shopping, the views, the hospitality and the open private gardens in some unforgettable way, then my sponsorship will have worked.

I’m President of Voice Radio 92.9FM, a Christian radio station bringing hope across the airways – we all need hope.

I’m a Christian, and I’m a friend to the LGBTIQ+ community exactly as they are. Financially supporting Freedhearts, I regularly speak with parents about loving their LGBTIQ+ children well.

I also support For The One, headed by my daughter and her family who are Missionaries in Vanuatu. They assist the community on Santo Island.

Next, meet Sienna Deurloo – a Commonwealth Games Finalist.

^ In May 2022, I was delighted to help Sienna go to the 2022 Commonwealth Games trials held in Adelaide.

Sienna has just returned from the Australian Age Swimming Championships in Adelaide were she won a Silver Medal in the 1500m freestyle and a Bronze Medal in the 800m freestyle events.

Also, earlier in 2022, Sienna won the Australian Open Water 5km Championship for Girls aged 17 years, becoming Australian Champion. This was also held in Adelaide.

All the very best Sienna. The entire Community & I can’t wait to see you crush your Personal Best!  ———  October 2022 Update: In amazing news, Sienna just came 3rd in the Australian Short Course Championships becoming one of the youngest to achieve this open Australian title. She won the 1500m, 800m and 400m State swimming titles and is now the Queensland Champion for all 3 events. That’s amazing Sienna!

^ Then, last but not least – in October 2022, I was so glad to support the Cambooya State School 140th Birthday Fête in October.  Together with other Sponsors, I’m excited for the discovery and fun ahead for the Junior Students on their upcoming new Nature Play Sensory Playground.  All students will enjoy some new playground equipment, too!  An honourable mention to the P&C and Staff for their hard-work and amazing hearts to make school days great.

“I love Toowoomba. The shopping’s great, the cafes are great, people are great, it’s my family home, it’s my town. It’s a great place to live, a great place to work, a great place to invest and a fabulous place to raise families.”
